Facts to understand Prior to Ordering Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was launched on November 10th, 2009 and had one of the number one launches I can even remember! I didnt go out for that midnight roll-out, but I went out on unveiling day and was there 3 hours earlier than launch during the day time and there were undoubtedly 20+ men and women hanging there. Just after a half hour to 45 minutes, I finally acquired my copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 system and off I went to spend the duration of my week ranking up as quick as I possibly could.
So before I start off, I just want to say that I am an enormous fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to help keep this review from the standpoint of someone who hasnt played any of the Call of Duty game titles or someone who didnt like the earlier game titles from the Call of Duty series. I wouldnt think of myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was determined on buying Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was unveiled.
As the majority of you already fully grasp, I seldom ever obtain game titles that really do not have some form of multi-player and usually will only obtain game titles for its multi-player feature, but I did genuinely engage in the entire single player campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I have to say that I did enjoy it even whilst playing through a second time. The story was sturdy, it was just a little puzzling at times, but it tied in fairly good with where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and provided solutions to various unanswered thoughts.
The only real point I honestly didnt like about the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it had been fairly easy at the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I didnt say constantly, merely because that’s absolutely not true, there had been occasions in which I got very aggravated mainly because there were just so many enemies at a given time on each and every side and it made me quite angry, but other than that, the single player campaign was fun and a refreshing new video game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it truly is exactly the exact same as in Call of Duty 4 and it most definitely was great for that video game and is nevertheless completely flawless now. As far as Im concerned, the control scheme choices in COD4 and MW2 are the greatest layouts that have ever been placed together for any video game. You will find a few other layouts that you can pick from and all of those control schemes are great as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get accustomed to, but as soon as youre accustomed to the new control scheme, youre beastly!
Now comes the section that you all have been longing for! My views for the multiplayer feature of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in above 360 hours of online performance, I believe I can give a pretty high quality overview of what it is all about. For the most part, everything is much better balanced. The maps are laid out nicely, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work alright. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go together with the positives. Now, do not get me wrong here, Im not planning to go over everything that’s precise in this video game, as it would take too long. Instead, Im planning to try and go over some of the major defects within the online feature of this video game, because of the fact that I feel this would be a whole lot more useful to potential buyers and/or earlier owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the bad elements. As far as Im concerned, one man army is really the only questionable perk. On its own, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it can be quite effective depending on your scenario, but put to use in the hands, it may be utilized in an highly bothersome way that will make any individual express a desire to just break their controller until the pieces discontinue soaring.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and direct, getting compensated for dying, in my opinion, is just stupid. There ought to be no need for this if the spawn process was efficiently thought through, which, sadly, it most certainly isn’t, but if youre applying death streaks for anything but to fight the weak spawn structure, then you’ve no excuse, you are simply a noob.
On that note, I might as well touch at the spawn system being as I already opened that can of worms. While not jumping into an enormous rant, basically the spawn organization operates nicely in most instances, but on the occasion, it functions just about as well as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt assist you at all, it induces you tremendous rage, and it makes you want to drop your console out the window of a 3 story or higher building. Im very sure that this is pretty much all I have to say about that, for the simple reason that if you have played a decent quantity of games and game varieties, you know exactly what Im talking about.
Just one other issue that operates just like that, would be the matchmaking structure. The video game automatically decides what room it is going to place you in. This means, you can be placed inside a room that has 10 seconds left in the game and it truly is honestly hopeless for you to win. This absolutely maddens me to no end. There is no easier approach to tarnish my joy to just unwind and engage in some Modern Warfare 2 then when I fire it up and connect to a game on a team which is just getting rocked. It is not fun at all, in fact, most of the time if this happens I will simply turn the PlayStation 3 system off right then and there and do anything else.
As far as weapons go, they are pretty considerably balanced now. In the start there was an enormous dispute about the model 1887s, but thanks to all of the complainers, they got nerfed and now are about just as effective as launching a rock at somebody. So far as the duration of the guns go, they are all exceptionally effective and if you really do not respond rapidly, you will die while not even knowing what happened.
I believe this concludes the small rant about the multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you wish to understand or know any more on the subject of it, just spend money on it, as it is most definitely deserving of the funds.
